At the time Isaiah had written this, Israel was walking in darkness. They had turned away from God. They were in a time of trouble.

December 04 | Rebellion
Ahhh, rebellion. I know it well from giving my parents a run for their money. The Lord spoke about the Israelite’s rebellion when they turned against Him, after He cared for them so tenderly.

Reflecting on these verses, I see a wonderful example of how God will always prepare us for whatever he has in store.

God’s word is full of promises. I was taught at a young age that when I faced difficulties, I should look in God’s word and find the promises/verses that applied to my situation.
