Flight Path

Life is like a flightpath—your decisions today determine your direction tomorrow. In this series, we’ll explore how to evaluate where you are, stay connected to Christ, avoid distractions, and make course corrections to align your life with God’s purpose.

Week 1: You Are Here

01/12/25 | Jeremiah 17:10

As Pastor Matt kicks off a new series, FLIGHT PATH, we’re talking about how our decisions today determine our direction tomorrow. As we look at where we are today, evaluating/examining ourselves can be uncomfortable - but is needed to move forward in life.

Week 2: Stay Connected

01/19/25 | John 15:1-5

As we move forward on our FLIGHT PATH, we must stay connected to Christ. Being disconnected from Christ can bring devastating consequences. But when we stay connected to Christ, staying connected to mission control, spending time abiding with him, he will bring us significance, satisfaction, and stability.

But how can we stay connected? Through abiding in him, inviting God into the everyday moments, and being in Christian community.

Week 3: Avoid the Drift

01/26/25 | Judges 14-16; 1 John 1:5-10

Continuing our series, FLIGHT PATH, we take a look at the life of Samson. Although Samson was destined for great things, he drifted off course -- he  wouldn’t address the mess, he cut corners, he ignored the cracks, and it led to disaster.

We can learn from Samson’s life by doing the opposite in order to arrive where God wants to take us in our lives through addressing the mess, acknowledging the cracks, taking responsibility, recognizing what we lean towards in order to avoid drifting off course, and confessing our sins and our need for Christ.

Week 4: Course Correction

02/02/25 | 1 Samuel 15:17-24; 2 Samuel 12:7-13

Failure is inevitable—but how you respond to it determines your future. In this final message of Flightpath, we’ll look at the lives of King Saul and King David. Both were chosen by God, both made mistakes, but only one course corrected.

Will failure make you rigid and resistant like Saul, or moldable and teachable like David? Discover how small adjustments, a teachable spirit, and faithfulness in the little things can keep you aligned with God’s purpose.
