08/14/22 | “Pastor Jeff’s Summer Reflections” // Part 2: “Thirst”

08/14/22 | For the next three weeks, Pastor Jeff dives deeper into the incredible words of Jesus found in John 7:37-39, showing Christ’s offer to each one of us.

In Week 2, Pastor Jeff talks about how Jesus wants to pour out His Spirit and give us life, but we often try to quench our thirst with other things besides God. Yet ultimately, those things cannot satisfy us. It’s only in Christ that we will find true purpose, peace, and life to the fullest.

On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. (John 7:37-39 NIV)
