08/21/22 | Pastor Jeff’s Summer Reflections // Part 3: “Come and Drink”

08/21/22 | For the next three weeks, Pastor Jeff dives deeper into the incredible words of Jesus found in John 7:37-39, showing Christ’s offer to each one of us.

In Week 3, Pastor Jeff talks about how we must not simply be around Jesus, but to “come and drink” as He offers each one of us. While often times we may focus on receiving the Holy Spirit, Pastor Jeff shows how we ultimately must seek Jesus, who will then pour out the Holy Spirit on us. The fullness of the Spirit is available for each one of us for worship, witness, and when we need Him the most.

On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. (John 7:37-39 NIV)
