02/19/23 | Courage: The Book of Esther // 3. “The Courage of Calling”

02/19/23 | How do we find the courage to step up when God calls us to do so? The Book of Esther serves as our guide in this series as we study the different characters in the story, how God was at work behind the scenes, and how each player in the story found the courage to step up and step out as God called them to.

In Week 3, Pastor Jeff highlights the life of Mordecai as he unpacks The Courage of Calling. Mordecai saw the opportunities that God placed in front of him, including adopting Esther, refusing to bow down to Haman, and he even had the courage to grieve. Mordecai’s faithfulness to his calling was a living example to Esther, his adoptive daughter, which inspired her to courageously step into her divine call, even when it was dangerous to her own life.
